“It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer” Dance is that form of art that speaks the hidden language of the soul. Dancing is surely the most relevant of all forms of expression. To hone the dancing skills of the students, an inter house dance competition was organized on 7th July 2022 for the students of classes V – XII with the theme……”On Wings Of Fire". As the competition began the young and vivacious Josephites set the stage in fire with their amazing dancing skills which reflected their continuous hard work that the students had put on for this competition. Participants from all the four houses put their best foot forward. The students were categorized as - Junior group comprising of the students from classes V & VI – for Western Dance. Sub Senior Group comprising the students from classes VII & VIII for Folk Dance. Senior Group comprising of the students from classes IX, X & XII for Folk Dance. The choreography, costume, rhythm and selection of music for each dance number was apt and true to the theme chosen by the organizers for this competition. It’s truly said dance is a poem of which each movement is a word. Apart from the inter house dance competition two other inter house activities were also organised - Inter House Football match for boys and Inter House Kabaddi match for girls. The students enthusiastically participated in all the co curricular activities and displayed their artistic as well as sportsman skill to their fullest. At the end of the events the winners and the other participants were applauded and appreciated for their exemplary performance.
